The City of Grande Prairie (the “City”) is requesting detailed and comprehensive proposals from Engineering consulting firms specializing in municipal road rehabilitation, storm modelling, storm drainage and transportation planning/modelling to provide project management, contract administration, and construction supervision services as well as storm modelling and traffic modelling/analysis for all aspects of the Old Highway 43 Bypass 2025/26 Road Rehabilitation, Maintenance, Drainage & Other Work Project.  The successful proponent (the “Consultant”) will provide preliminary Engineering, geotechnical investigation and assessment, detailed design, tender preparation, construction, and warranty services (supervision, inspection, materials testing), post construction and project close out. Storm modelling and traffic modelling and analysis is required by the successful proponent. All work will meet or exceed the City of Grande Prairie Design and Construction Manuals. Traffic modelling and analysis is required to validate assumptions made in the City of Grande Prairie Transportation Masterplan (2020) for sections along the former Highway 43 Bypass which are recommended to be upgraded to 6 lanes at the 70,000-population horizon (the recent City of Grande Population Census estimates the current City Population at 70,385).
